The long-awaited sequel to Happiness is a Four Letter Word, which is streaming on Showmax, will be premiering on Netflix on 10 November 2021.
Earlier this year, entertainment industry commentator Phil Mphela sat down with the stars from Happiness Ever After, Khanyi Mbau and Renate Stuurman, to find out just what viewers can expect.
What is Happiness Ever After about?
In the much anticipated sequel, besties Zaza (played by Khanyi Mbau) and Princess (played by Renate Stuurman) meet and invite a fabulous new girlfriend into their trio. An exciting storyline unfolds as the women make their way through even more interesting life dramas and dilemmas, grappling with relatable issues of relationship stress, parenting, and family tensions.
Set in some of the most beautiful and lavish locations in Johannesburg, the original and new cast members, comprising the talented grouping of Richard Lukunku (returning as Leo), Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, Yonda Thomas, Daniel Effiong, Loyiso MacDonald, Xolile Tshabalala and Nandi Nyembe will have fans glued to the screens.
The director Thabang Moleya (Happiness Is A Four Letter Word, The Herd) returns, and the sequel is written by Ayanda Halimana, with Bongiwe Selane (Happiness Is A Four Letter Word, Nomalanga and the Witch) producing.
