Episode 8 dips into more shocking moments and ends with a cliffhanger we never saw coming. Here’s a recap of what went down in Vula Vala this week.
Lefa is sent to rehab after overdosing on drugs
Just when Lefa was starting to impress his father with his discovery of Mzi, he falls short and makes his father even more disappointed.
Bra Rex confronts Lefa regarding his sudden disappearance and reminds him how much of a failure he is.
During their heated argument, it becomes apparent that Lefa is tired of living in his father’s shadow.
Things get heated when Lefa blurts out that he sleeps with men.
”Another beautiful thing I forgot to tell you, I love f*** men,” says Lefa.
Now that the truth is out about his sexuality, will Bra Rex accept his son for who he is?
Mzi wants to have his cake and eat it
Mzi should just make up his mind on whether she wants Owami or Teaspoon.
The soccer star has caught feelings for Owami, but he can’t ignore the fact that he’s still in a relationship with Teaspoon. What makes this love-triangle even more complicated is that Owami still believes that Mzi is a single man. On the other hand, he is lying to Teaspoon even though she can sense that something isn’t right.
Can Mzi save us all the drama and just choose one girl?
Gab takes over
While Mzi is in the process of signing a contract deal with the Scorpions, Gab storms into the meeting and claims that he is the boy’s manager, not Kop.
Everyone in the room is clearly confused as they know the truth but seeing that Kop is indebted to Gab he lets the small-time hustler sign parts of the contract as Mzi’s manager.
We learn that Gab has spoken to the investigator who thinks Mzi is behind Uncle Bheki’s death.
”I’ll only work with you for two years,” says Mzi, who feels trapped and realises the weight of this situation upon his shoulders.
Another one bites the dust! RIP Tinyiko
Bra Bheki was probably smiling in his grave when Thembi took Tinyiko’s last breath. Tinyiko is killed by the same person who helped kill Bra Bheki.
Thembi found out that Tinyiko was about to rat them out to the cops. She went to visit him, only to find Tinyiko watching the hidden tape that would have incriminated them for Bra Bheki’s murder.
Thembi then takes action, and Tinyiko does not live to see another day.
