Thembi is living proof that life gives you second chances. Although she desperately wanted to save her marriage, she soon realised that it wouldn’t be so easy as Bongani found someone to replace her almost immediately. So, what did Thembi do?
Has Thembi found the one?
She allowed her friends to set up an online dating profile and went on a few dates. Although the first few were hell, Thembi eventually met the right match – Bright, a well-known gospel singer. The two have been getting along like a house on fire. The bonus is that Bright seems to have a soft spot for children, although he doesn’t have any of his own. So this means he doesn’t have a problem with Thembi having two kids.
While the new relationship is coming along nicely, Thembi has a few concerns. “I know nothing about romance. I don’t know about flowers, restaurants, champagne. I’m just worried that I’m rushing into this,” she told Bright. He reminds her about all the happiness she deserves and asks her to allow him to give it to her. That’s very sweet, right?
Thembi also brought up the fact that she’s always had to provide for her family, and that her children probably don’t understand it’s time for her to move on. “We had Mbali when we were very young. So, since then, it was me looking after the family and nothing else. So, they don’t understand that their mother needs to find some sort of happiness,” she told Bright.
Fortunately, she doesn’t have to worry about her children where Bright is concerned because they adore him. He is a celebrity, after all. Thembi’s life seems to be falling right into place but the same can’t be said for her friend, Claudia.
Claudia could be left with nothing
After being served with divorce papers, Claudia learns that she’ll walk away with nothing from her divorce. “This man violated our prenup years ago. He forced me to stop my modelling career – something that I loved so much. He took everything away from me,” she told Brenda and her lawyer, Mr Bolton.
Claudia, who is has nothing left to her name, also came clean about the abuse she’s endured in her marriage. “He’s a killer! He put a gun to my head when he realised that I had tied my tubes and I couldn’t give him children. I can’t walk away with nothing.”
Her nightmare is far from over as her husband has managed to track her down. She got the shock of her life (and fainted) when he came to Brenda’s house unannounced. Now the question is: what drama is he bringing her way this time?
