Relationships aren’t easy! Just ask Claudia and Thembi, who’ve had their fair share of drama in the love department since this season of Unmarried started. While Claudia has been trying to free herself from her controlling husband, Thembi managed to leave her marriage and even found a new man. But things aren’t looking great for Thembi as Bright has disappeared without a trace. Let’s catch you up!
Things started on a good note between the mother of two and her new famous man. They seemed excited about being together and it looked like this would be Thembi’s happy ending after her failed marriage. But that fire seems to have died down now because Bright is nowhere to be found.
Casper the ghost
Thembi has been calling and leaving him voice messages, and the sad thing is that there hasn’t been any response from the gospel star. Thembi’s sister, Marcia, is convinced that Bright has ghosted her. “You can’t date Casper the ghost, someone who’s not there,” she told Thembi.
She believes that all men are the same. “It doesn’t matter whether he’s a gospel singer who goes to church or if he goes to a tavern, they’re all the same. He wanted you to let your guard down so he could get you in bed and then leave. You should stop opening up so quickly to people.” Poor Thembi now has to deal with the possibility of another failed relationship. Ouch!
Viktor woos Claudia
Meanwhile, her bestie Claudia is facing a challenge of her own. After being kidnapped, Claudia woke up confused in a bedroom she didn’t recognise. She was forced to take a bath and was then taken to Viktor, who was waiting for her outside. He had a whole romantic set-up and assured her that he’d never harm her. “I just want to talk, that’s all,” he said.
Viktor is one slick guy and knows exactly what to say to get Claudia’s attention. Because she’s been adamant about divorcing him, he suggested they stay for the Real Housewives of Joburg and even offered to buy her a mansion. “You can live in it, shoot in it. [I’ll] Buy you a new wardrobe. You will be the star of the show. You’re way better than any of them…”
He even asked if she could call her lawyers to call off the divorce. Of course, this sounded good to Claudia, who’s all about the soft life. She went back to Brenda’s house and packed her bags, preparing to leave with Viktor. Cam, who knows her too well, demanded the truth from her. He didn’t buy her story about making things right with her husband. She finally gave in and told him why she was prepared to leave with him.
Claudia told Cam: “This whole situation is messed up. I’m just scared if I reject him, something worse is going to happen. I think that the whole kidnapping thing was actually part of the plan.”
She insisted that she would handle Viktor and refused to involve the police in her drama. Just as Claudia was packing in her bedroom, Viktor knocked on the door and he was greeted by Thembi and Brenda. They both gave him a piece of their minds. But a man like Viktor is used to getting what he wants, and he told them that he and Claudia were planning to renew their wedding vows.
He insisted on coming inside the house and the ladies tried blocking his way. Of course, they weren’t strong enough and he was able to force his way inside. But before he could get far, Viktor collapsed, leaving Thembi and Brenda very confused.
