At the rate things are going on The Queen, baby Mzi seems doomed to grow up with a lot of anxiety bottled inside. Ever since the day he was born, baby Mzi has experienced a lot of drama here on Earth. He not only made his debut way too early, but he almost lost his mommy (Mmabatho) after complications during his birth.
His parents also argue daily, and even had their son living in a drug lord’s house for the first few months of his life. Come to think of it, baby Mzi might be the most gangster baby you’ve ever seen on local television.
However, with all the things that he’s experienced, baby Mzi hasn’t been in grave danger until now – thanks to his father (Shaka) and Uncle Brutus.
In their quest to get back at Harriet for leaving them in jail, Shaka and Uncle Brutus stole her drugs and have begun distributing the narcotics across the township of Tembisa. Bad move.
In true Harriet style, she has since tipped off the community, which has gone full mob-justice to find and kill the two men. Unfortunately, baby Mzi has found himself in the middle of this entire debacle.
Shaka and Brutus are beaten senseless by the community, and, for a brief moment, baby Mzi and Aunty Bong flee the danger that is brewing. But then, in the blink of an eye, Aunty Bongi is shot in the head and bleeds to death while Mzi lies on her back in the dark streets of Tembisa. An unidentified woman picks up the baby and carries him off into the night.
Understandably, Mmabatho is distraught at the disappearance of her son. Will she ever forgive Shaka for disappointing her yet again and putting their son’s life in danger? But most importantly, will she ever find her son?
