The untimely death of Gracious “TGom” Mabuza on the Queen hit viewers hard – none of us was ready to bid farewell to one of our favourite characters.
Last week Friday’s episode revealed that Nomzamo (Dollar’s wife) never loved Gracious and had long planned to get rid of TGom by any means necessary. The thought of Gracious becoming her husband’s second wife also drove her mad, to the point that she planned Gracious’s murder.
A marriage proposal gone wrong
In the fateful episode of Gracious’s death, she got invited to Blue Moon Lounge by Dollar, who showed up with his wife Nomzamo. He then proposed to Gracious, asking her to be his second wife, as long as Nomzamo approved. Seconds later Dollar received a shocking notification with pictures showing Gracious cheating with Schumacher.
The irritated Dollar left the restaurant, while Gracious ran after him in the hopes of explaining what had happened between her and Schumacher. And that was the opportunity Nomzamo had been waiting for – she took her chance, and hit Gracious with a stick, killing her instantly.
It’s hard to say goodbye
The death of TGOM was a bitter pill to swallow for viewers.
Harriet rescues a friend in need
Nomzamo was devastated by what she had done and reached out to Harriet for help. Known to be the queen of cover-ups, Harriet assisted Nomzamo in covering up the murder by making it seem as though Gracious’s death was caused by a robbery gone wrong. Harriet then told Nomzamo to forget this ever happened.
”You didn’t kill anyone,” said Harriet, with a deadly serious expression on her face.
Will history repeat itself in Kea’s love life?
We hate the fact that Kea always falls for the wrong men. Remember how Tebogo came into her life and appeared to be a perfect guy, only to end up abusing her physically and emotionally?
Harriet always warns Kea not to fall prey to such men: “They all start out nice,” says Harriet. For all we know, Eric (the new man) might be another monster. And it turns out that viewers share Harriet’s sentiments:
On the flip side of things, Eric seems to be an honest guy. He passed the test after the Khoza brothers put him through a perplexing check of loyalty. He seems to like Kea, and treats her like a queen, but only time will tell if he truly is the right man for her.
Could Mmabatho and Dingane be falling for each other?
Mmabatho’s world turned upside down with the arrival of Dingane. Not only was he the one who informed Mmabatho about Shaka’s involvement in her mother’s death, but Dingane was also behind the cover-up of Shaka’s death.
If they did end up in a relationship, it would be quite awkward, considering that Shaka was Mmabatho’s husband and Dingane’s cousin.
Who will take the fall for TGom’s death?
The mystery behind Gracious’s death has Vuyiswa and her team working around the clock to find the murderers, but so far they’ve hit a brick wall.
During the interrogation, Nomzamo said she was with Harriet at the time of the murder. Harriet sat right next to her during the interrogation process to ensure that she didn’t crack under pressure. One thing we’ve come to respect about Harriet is that everything she does, whether good or bad, is always in the interest of the ones she holds dear.
Schumacher was also interrogated and threw Dollar under the bus by claiming that it was Dollar who killed Gracious. Will Dollar take the fall for a murder he didn’t commit, or is he going to use his gut feeling and shift the attention back to his wife?
