Starring Jane de Wet and Ty Keogh, both of whom you’ll recognise from The Girl From St Agnes; Kate Liquorish, who you will also see in Queen Sono and may have seen in Chin Up!; Lorcia Cooper, who, of course, plays Tyson in Lockdown; and Siv Ngesi, in a rare dramatic role as a doctor who is struggling with his sense of self.
The SAFTA-winning director Johnny Barbuzano of The River helmed the series, and his wife Tiffany wrote the script and stars in the show, while their children Jamie and Jess Barbuzano make their acting debuts.
“When you’re born, it’s the first thing you do and when you leave, to start the next part of your soul’s journey – it’s the last thing,” says Tiffany, on the themes of the show, and they relate to the title. “As long as you’re still breathing, you’re the lucky one. You still have hope, no matter the circumstances.”
