There’s a new data deal in town

Do you only ever stream series on your smartphone or tablet? You may be in line to save a bit of cash with Showmax’s new Vodacom deal on their Showmax Mobile plan.

How does it work?

You’ll get a Showmax Mobile subscription, which will allow you to stream Showmax on your smartphone or tablet (it won’t work for any other devices, including casting devices). Plus you’ll get 2GB of data from Vodacom to use for Showmax every month.

How much can I stream for 2GB per month?

You should be able to stream around 10 hours of series and movies with 2GB on the lowest quality setting on your device, as long as you use Showmax’s data-saving tips, such as putting a cap on your data. There’s a neat guide here.

How many devices can I watch on with Showmax Mobile?

Showmax Mobile is different to a standard Showmax subscription, which allows you to watch on two devices at once.

With Showmax Mobile, you will be able to watch Showmax on only one device – your smartphone or tablet.
