If you’ve ever broken up with anybody, you will know that ending a relationship is not easy at all. Breaking a connection you’ve been building for a long time takes its toll on your emotions, as we saw with Thandeka from Krugersdorp.
When our host, Lerato Mvelase, asked her why she was ending things, she revealed that it’s because her man, Theelite, had been cheating and lying while abusing alcohol for far too long.

All the right notes
Thandeka is a musician at heart, and when she met Theelite, a DJ with an ear for great sounds, it looked like she might have found the man of her dreams. She admits that he is a good guy with a good heart, and after dating for a year they got engaged and had a son together.
So what could be the reason she found herself on this show? Lerato was curious to know where things went off track.
According to Thandeka, things fell apart after they landed their first overseas gig. The money they earned began to change the dynamics of the relationship. Suddenly, Thandeka would notice girls in skimpy clothing who would appear to record in their studio for free. It didn’t take Thandeka long to figure out that favours of a different nature were exchanged.
It’s time to go solo
Thandeka then shocked the country when she opened up about how Theelite went on to date her best friend.
She explained how she discovered that he had been taking many girls to hotels, but had never offered her the same treatment – and he would disappear for days on end.
In short, the relationship was broken beyond repair and Thandeka decided it was finally time to reach out to Lerato and the team.
Jealousy or something else?
When it was time for them to meet and hash things out, Theelite shared his side of the story. He admitted that he only cheated because a client couldn’t pay for their studio time, and he also revealed that Thandeka had jealousy issues.
Thandeka stood her ground, however. Before this sit-down she had made it clear to Lerato that she will not be taking him back no matter what. At one point, Theelite decided that he could not do this in front of cameras and so he walked off.
Lerato has to intervene
To stop him from leaving the set altogether, Lerato was forced to intervene and get Theelite to answer to Thandeka’s questions. He refused to accept that the relationship was over and he kept insisting that they find another way to work it out.
It was painful to watch as Thandeka forced an end to their relationship, leaving Theelite in tears as the crew tried to keep him calm.
We did say breakups aren’t easy, but sometimes, putting yourself first is worth the difficulty.
