For some members of the youth, dating is a very tricky thing to navigate. It’s a matter of guessing games and putting yourself out there and just hoping for the best.
When Koketso first met Kopano, she had no idea that Kopano was interested in her as the two sat side by side sharing the love story with the rest of Mzansi.
Long-distance wasn’t an option
When the couple struggled with their long-distance relationship – Kopano in Rustenberg and Koketso transferred to work in Bloemfontein – Kopano had one solution: to ask Koketso to leave her job for the sake of their relationship. And how better to convince his love than to buy her a car as a surprise! A grand gesture that probably made their relationship grow stronger.
The grand gesture set the tone for the rest of their relationship going into their marriage. During a quiet moment that Koketso thought was just another romantic date, Kopano got down on one knee and popped the big question. Koketso said yes and now the couple finds themselves on the latest episode of Our Perfect Wedding.
The rings and wedding venue
The partners chose to go with classic, stylish rings. Koketso wanted something lightweight and suitable for her and Kopano wanted something old school. Both got exactly what they wanted.
The wedding venue accommodated 120 guests, who witnessed Kopano and Koketso’s union. The most touching moment for us was when the bride was walked down the aisle by her grandfather.
The décor
The couple didn’t have anything specific in mind but they did request a specific colour scheme, an elegant combo of white, pink and gold.
As a surprise, the decorator also placed a floral centre-piece on every table, which is something the couple really appreciated.
The big day
As expected, Koketso looked amazing in her wedding gown and she was all smiles, rightfully so.
Kopano looked just as dashing in his gold suit and shades.
Viewers were entertained at how much fun Kopano was having, especially when he got down on his knees yet again. This time, to honour the tradition of the groom getting the bride’s garter from under her dress without using his hands. He’d never heard of nor practised it before the wedding but was very eager to dive in headfirst!
The couple enjoyed every moment of their wedding and gave the entire experience a 10/10 rating.
