It’s never too late to change your mind about a relationship gone wrong – or is it? Zakariah was certainly hoping that he would have a chance to do exactly that in episode 4 of Love Back! The 29-year-old from Henneman was eager to win his lady, Temoho, back after he realised that he’d made a mistake. Luckily Mzwandile was on hand to help him out.
How did it fall apart?
Their love story began like any other. They had the “you hang up, no, you hang up” kind of love and things were smooth for a long time. The Arsenal fan explained that their relationship wasn’t perfect, but it was a very big part of his life.
They met on a dating page on Facebook and it didn’t take long for this online romance to blossom into something serious. Everything honestly looked like it was set for the future because Zakariah truly believed that he was going to marry Temoho. However, things began to change for the worse over time.
Exes are always a problem and Zakariah’s ex reared her (ugly?) head and tried her best to sabotage his new relationship. In order to avoid this pestering ex, Zakariah decided to change his phone number several times, and this is one of the things he believes led to their relationship falling apart.
Blurred lines?
The big problem that many viewers immediately noticed is that Zakariah did not open up about the fact that the woman pestering him was his ex.
So Temoho was left to make her own conclusions and at some point she got fed up and decided to call it day. This is where Zakariah realised he had made a mistake.
A nasty surprise
We finally saw Temoho for the first time and let’s just say that she was not exactly happy to see her ex-boyfriend. Her immediate reaction was to ask him what he was doing there and it was clear that things were not going to be smooth for our man Zak. Her reaction said it all!
She appeared to be stunned and speechless for a long time until Zakariah opened up about writing to Love Back. He then opened up about the whole issue of porting phone numbers and why he had to do it, and Temoho was still in disbelief.
She interrogated him about why he kept changing his number and he slowly began to explain that he was changing his number to run away from someone (without revealing it was his ex!).
Temoho has her say
One thing that was clear is that Temoho didn’t appreciate all of this taking place on national television. She revealed that they had actually never met, and that their relationship was mainly taking place over the phone. However, it seems as if her cool demeanour slowly opened up and she decided to forgive her man.
Temoho revealed that she was also in love with him and that they could move past whatever had caused them to break up in the past. You should have seen the look on Zakariah’s face!
In the end, Mzwandile helped both of them realise how much they loved each other and the episode ended on a truly happy note for both lovers.
This time around, love won and Zakariah got his love back. We love to see it!
