The all-round entertainer is four seasons deep into his popular reality show Living the Dream with Somizi, which you will find on Showmax (Seasons 1-4).
In the show, Somizi gives us a front-row seat to his private life as he shares the ups and downs of working, relationships and more.
A few things we’ve come to enjoy most about Living the Dream are Somizi’s comments, facial expressions and sometimes crazy hairstyles. His sense of humour and the fact that he doesn’t take himself too seriously mean that it’s impossible to watch the show with a straight face!
Here are some of our favourite LOL moments from Living the Dream with Somizi.
1. Somizi’s Zimbali home (Season 3)
Somizi not only has a gorgeous home in Johannesburg but he also invested in a holiday home in Zimbali, KwaZulu-Natal. Somizi was so in awe of his house that he even joked about how he now defecates “in higher grade” – that’s how luxurious the bathrooms in his house are!
2. The sangoma and Boity jab (Season 4)
There are certain things in life you can’t joke about, but Somgaga seems to get a pass for joking about almost anything. In this episode, the reality star not only takes jabs at the process of going through a sangoma ritual but also teases Boity Thulo for sounding like her famous ex-boyfriend Cassper Nyovest.
3. That hairstyle and his ageing comments (Season 2)
Somizi is quite an expressive individual, and, sometimes, the best way he expresses himself is through his many hairstyles.
One minute Somizi is sporting a pink or purple hairdo and the next minute he’s styling gold braids and looking fabulous.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a hilarious Somizi moment without him making light jokes about his fellow celebrities.
4. Meeting the friends (Season 3)
Another thing we like about Somizi is that he surrounds himself with friends who are just as hilarious as he is.
In this episode, Somizi introduces his fiance to his long-term buddies. The meet-up is full of some seriously funny banter. If you watch the episode carefully, you’ll realise that some of Somizi’s friends are actually funnier than he is.
