Mzansi Magic’s Gomora has been one of the hottest shows in South Africa since it launched a few weeks ago. We can’t get enough of it! Which is why we’ve checked in with some of our favourite stars to find out what they’re bingeing to get through lockdown. (All previous episodes are available to binge-watch on DStv Now and on Showmax, and new episodes will land every weekday on both Showmax and DStv Now from 25 May 2020.)
We’ve added links to all the shows that are available to stream either on DStv Now or Showmax to make life easier.
Mazet – Siphesihle Mdaba
Siphesile recently exploded onto our screens in Gomora as Mazet, the gorgeous and dangerous Alex girl who tempts Ntokozo into a life of crime. She went to work for Mam’Sonto and found the mother figure she never had at home.
“I want to tell stories that haven’t been told. I want to portray work that is proudly South African and that is what I enjoy about Gomora. It is the reality of many South Africans. Viewers can expect a lot of rawness and authenticity.” – Siphesihle Mdaba

Teddy – Sicelo Buthelezi
Teddy is the sweetheart of Gomora, the lost little boy that it took a village to raise. His alcoholic mother cannot care for him so Gladys and Melusi took him in, making the ill-fated Ntokozo his brother. Teddy finds himself between a rock and a hard place as he learns more about the truth behind the hijacking and struggles to decide what the right thing to do is.
