With everything that Gladys has been through, Melusi unwittingly chooses Thathi once again over his grieving wife, who needs him more.
After waiting with bated breath for months, Gomora fans finally witnessed Thathi finding out who killed her son, Langa and this is after she inadvertently killed Glady’s son, Thandoluhle. Gladys has been grieving after losing her unborn child but the worst of it all is that she had to go through that process without Melusi.
Gladys lays her son to rest
Gladys suffered a miscarriage following a heated argument with her husband’s mistress, Thathi. While Melusi was part of the panel of judges at the Miss Gomora pageant, organised by Thathi, Gladys was burying her child.
Gomora fans expressed their feelings over this situation:
When Gladys is in hospital, she tells Melusi to stop pretending like he cares and let everything be as is. She admits that she has made peace with him being with Thathi and that they deserve each other.
At this point she is tired of being under-appreciated, always having to come second to a mistress, and you know what, we’re not shocked that she didn’t tell him about the funeral. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Melusi gets the shock of his life
Thathi requests that Melusi be part of the panel of judges at the Miss Gomora beauty pageant and although he didn’t want to at first, he eventually accepts the request. At the end of the beauty pageant, Melusi remembers that he has a wife who’s dealing with a miscarriage and probably has to deal with the funeral arrangements on her own.
He finally goes to Gladys in an attempt to help with the funeral arrangements – little does he know that it’s a bit too late as the funeral happened while he was at the pageant having a great time.
“We must sit and discuss how we are going to bury the child. I mean, the child has to be buried with dignity, right?” asks Melusi.
“Then that’s exactly what I did,” says Gladys in response to him.
Gladys goes on a trip down memory lane when she reminds Melusi that he wasn’t there when she went for check-ups, how she looked at scans all alone, taking treatment and rubbing her own tummy while Melusi was with Thathi every night.
This is a hard pill to swallow for Melusi, who is then told to take the rest of his clothes and leave.
No sympathy for a cheater
The cracks in Melusi’s homes continue to widen and Gomora viewers have made it clear that they feel no pity for him.
It was all fun and games when Melusi fell into Thathi’s arms but his indecisiveness has made Melusi lose a lot of respect from his family and the viewers.
Now that Gladys has given Melusi and Thathi her blessings, he comes back and asks Gladys if she would like him to come back home, which begs the question – does Melusi not like seeing Gladys happy without him?
