Dloz’lami is a reality show that assists grieving families who seek closure or clarity following a loved one’s passing. The process is facilitated by local medium Thembi Nyathi, who helps the families find healing through spiritual readings.
Here are some of the most shocking moments from the show so far.
George’s need for guidance
George feels that his life has no direction and is in need of closure in order to progress in life.
Thembi reveals a shocking and uncomfortable fact to George and his mom: Thembi says that the ancestors are not sure how to address George since they know him as a man, yet he considers himself a woman.
The reveal caused a bit of a stir on social media, and Twitter weighed in on the reveal.
Thembi further explained that George’s relationships always led to heartbreak because he’s allowing himself to be used by straight men. Thembi urges George to stop if he wants to see a difference in his life.
Brenda’s father refuses to accept the truth
Brenda has never been home after her mother’s burial. She feels unwanted and believes her mother died with a lot of secrets. Thembi proceeds to ask questions for clarity about Brenda’s life.
The truth is, Brenda got married without the family’s permission and this raises a lot of concerns for her. The medium also mentions that Brenda’s father had to be a sangoma but the father refuses to accept this revelation.
Thembi also reveals that Brenda also has the calling and if she ignores it, the calling will filter down to her child. Thembi urges Brenda to fix her life.
Wilson’s double life
Wilson needs clarity because he is not getting any luck in finding the right woman – he’s a pastor with kids and he has separated from his wife.
The medium made comments about the fact that as a pastor, Wilson shouldn’t be hopping from one relationship to another.
The shocker is when Thembi reveals that the ancestors are aware that Wilson has no interest in women and he also agrees with the revelation.
Thembi warns Wilson that his life is hanging in the balance.
Kholiwe struggles to live with the trauma of losing her child
Kholiwe lost her child in 2017, and to this day she blames herself for her daughter’s death. She’s never found peace and is now dealing with depression.
Thembi reveals that Kholiwe conceived the child with a married man. Kholiwe explains that she did not know that the man was married, even though she was aware that the man was living with another woman.
“Some women are prayerful people, they know how to build and strengthen their homes accordingly. Then you will come and fall pregnant with a married man, in a home sealed with bile? That child will be suffocated. This is the situation Kholiwe has found herself in – giving birth to a stillborn.”
Thembi then assists Kholiwe in rectifying her mistake.
