Dipuo and her family have gone through a lot of challenges. Their lives don’t have any sense of direction and for this reason, she reached out to Thembi for help. “I wrote to Dloz’Lami because my family has so many problems. We’ve had enough,” says Dipuo.
Her mother, Matsela, added that her children haven’t been working and the older ones are still not married. “They’ve been sticky, to a point that Lerato even lost her mind.”
Thembi arrived at their home and went straight to work. “Dipuo’s life hasn’t been coming together. This is caused by the fact that when her mother married the man who was not Dipuo’s father, she left Dipuo with her stepfather’s surname which is wrong,” Thembi said, adding that this is why Dipuo has bad luck and is carrying a huge burden.
Don’t rob the spirits
Thembi was able to connect with Dipuo’s ancestors and told her: “One of the ancestors says she’s your grandmother, your mother’s mother. The other one says she’s your mother’s grandmother, and the other one says he’s the man of this house.” She then revealed that there are ancestors fighting over the house that Dipuo and her family live in.
The medium then spoke to Dipuo’s mother to get some answers. Matsela explained that after her husband passed away, she decided to go back home. “This is robbing the other spirits who welcomed you as a daughter-in-law,” Thembi said. She told them Matsela’s actions have caused some difficulties in her children’s lives.
Matsela shared that she never used her husband’s surname after getting married. “Even when he was alive my ID was a Makgae (her maiden name). I didn’t want to use his surname.” This, unfortunately, has created a lot of problems for her children. When it comes to Dipuo, Matsela revealed that she’s not even sure who her father is. “I was still 17-18 years.”
An introduction to the ancestors
Thembi wanted to get to the heart of the matter and shared: “Dipuo was introduced with your surname, right? But even with your surname, the ancestors can’t welcome her properly. Now, where does Dipuo belong?”
There was never a ceremony done to introduce Dipuo to her mother’s ancestors and that is a big problem. “You can see her life is a mess. That’s because her father’s family don’t know her. If her father doesn’t come forward to claim her, then she must remain with her mother’s family,” Thembi explained. She added that it’s her mother’s job to introduce her so that the ancestors can help Dipuo.
