Just as viewers thought they had seen it all on Dloz’Lami, Thembi Nyathi took it up a notch on the latest episode. The popular Moja Love reality series gives families a chance to connect with their deceased loved ones through spiritual medium Thembi.
Tuesday’s episode of the popular show introduced viewers to Constance and Musa Mkhize. The couple can’t have children and decided to seek guidance and get the answer to some of their burning questions. The first thing we noticed when Constance and Musa sat down was that there were several empty chairs in the room.
Thembi explained that the couple was in the presence of many ancestors. The ancestors, according to Thembi, asked for tea, which was brought to them with some biscuits.
Thembi explained that Constance and Musa can’t have children because they’ve been blocked by the ancestors. She told them that the paternal side of Constance’s family felt disrespected after they weren’t invited to her wedding. They also complained about the fact that Constance’s lobola negotiations were done by her maternal family.
Constance told Thembi that before getting married, she went to her father’s family to tell them that she was getting married and that she wanted him to attend the wedding. “He didn’t come, only my aunt came,” she said.
Thembi explained: “Constance can’t bear children for the Mkhize family because of two reasons.” She added: “The first reason is that this grandmother says when she married into the Mkhize family, as her father’s side, we were not invited. They are claiming you spiritually and they are winning.”
Her paternal grandmother, through Thembi, advised her to visit her grave so that they can start working on having a relationship with one another. The subject of Palesa, Constance’s late child, also came up. The grandmother said she had to “take” the child because she wanted to show Constance that there’s nothing she can do without her.
“You need to fix this whole situation and bring your dad’s side of things to the picture,” Thembi told Constance.
