Show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are – this was the case in this week’s episode of Date My Family.
This week’s bachelor is Nkosinathi Mzila from Alexandra. Nkosinathi is a banker and fitness enthusiast who came to Date My Family in search of a steady relationship. Luckily for him, his search was a great success with only a few stumbling blocks along the way.
Angelina’s beautiful friends
Bachelorette number 1, Angelina, is represented by Kutlwano, Natasha and Tanya. The three ladies did an excellent job of representing their friend – the fact that they were just as gorgeous as Angelina made the date more pleasurable for Nathi.
The girls asked pertinent questions while creating a positive picture of their friend. Nkosinathi was so impressed with the hospitality he received that he unintentionally developed a little crush on all three friends.
The ladies are sceptical
Although Nkosinathi was impressed by Angelina’s friends, the feeling was not mutual.
Natasha’s first impression of the guy was that he seemed like a soccer player. Soccer players are stereotyped as players not only on the field but in relationships as well.
Nathi was then asked about his social media presence and what type of messages Angelina would find if she slid into his DMs. Nathi was honest by saying that Angelina would find a lot of messages from gay men.
The girls were perplexed by his answer and wondered why gay men would send him messages. But who could blame them? Nathi has a sexy physique.
Another reason the ladies became sceptical of Nathi is that he has two children from different mothers. At this point, the friends aren’t sure if this is the man for Angie and can smell serious baby-mama drama coming Angie’s way.
The ladies also fear that he might be the type of man to “plant and leave” because Nathi left both baby mamas in KwaZulu-Natal. However, Nathi assured them that he isn’t that kind of guy.
Angie agrees to a second date
The other two families were a complete write-off. The second family was unaccommodating and served food that was quite oily – not to mention that some of the family members were rude, while the third family was represented by a group of people whom Nathi thought were too young for his liking.
“Honestly, I do see this going further. Talking to him more I see that he is a very sweet guy and dresses well. Although we still need to work on the two baby mamas, he is quite a catch,” says Angie.
