Introducing Harry Legoabe, a graphic designer by profession who lives in Pretoria North. Harry is looking for a beautiful and goal-driven lady who will complement his introverted personality. A deal breaker for him would be a woman who likes to party a lot.
A tough family to impress
Our bachelor was hosted by Dakalo’s younger siblings, Dalton and Vanessa, and their mother. The presence of Dakalo’s mother made Harry a bit uncomfortable as there were certain things he wanted to say and ask, but out of respect for her mother, he could not.
Overall, Vanessa was happy with Harry. On the other hand, Dalton was not impressed by the handsome bachelor and saw him as an average, boring guy who was probably not good enough for his sister.
Clash of the male egos
Things become even more awkward when Dalton suggested that the reason Harry’s past relationships didn’t work out was because Harry has an uninteresting personality. According to Dalton, sitting home and watching TV is boring, while Harry thinks boring is relative, because being indoors for him is quite fun.
Dalton continues to taunt Harry by asking him if he’s a one-woman man. Harry admits that he is, but Dalton doesn’t buy it.
“I don’t think any guy answers this question truthfully,” says Dalton.
This comment ruffles a few feathers and makes the dinner date quite awkward. Harry even insists on having a talk with the little brother after dinner – it’s evident to him that Dalton would become a nuisance should he decide to pursuit Dakalo.
A family that loves money
The second family represented social media influencer Xoliswa. We immediately see red flags with this family as the first thing they ask Harry is if he would give Xoliswa a girlfriend allowance. They then go straight for the jugular and ask him if he has a lot of money. Confused by the question, Harry humbly replies by saying that he just has money.
“…but do you have Dubai money or Cape Town money,” asks another friend.
The many questions about finances made Harry very uncomfortable and had him wondering if Xoliswa would be truly interested in him as he isn’t a man with a lot of money.
How the family handled this date did not sit well with some viewers as the topic at hand was a bit too sensitive for someone they hardly know.
Did Harry hit the jackpot?
Harry’s experience with the third family was such a breeze. It was the perfect date that he had long hoped for. Lerato’s siblings were welcoming, the food was perfect and, most importantly, Harry felt at home.
It was a no-brainer that Harry would choose Lerato and the fact that they are both Mamelodi Sundowns supporters made his decision to take Lerato on a date even easier.
Their night out was perfect. The conversation was flowing, there was a lot of giggles and laughter plus, the two managed to make each other blush at every given moment.
Lerato was impressed at Harry’s genuine interest in the well-being of her child. He even made it clear that he’d like to plan and spend more time with the little one, should they decide to date for a longer period. This soothed Lerato’s heart and it became clear that a second date would be happening sooner than we expected.
We love happy endings!
