In the latest episode of Date My Family on Mzansi Magic, our bachelorette goes by the name “Tears” Sibaka, a student and part-time photographer. She’s looking for a tall, dark and handsome man. A caring person who loves God. She’s also a beautiful girl who loves God and enjoys being indoors.
PhD was the selling point
The first bachelor is called Mphamela, and he is represented by his brother and friends. They did a great job welcoming her with so much warmth and making her feel at home.
They mentioned that he holds a PhD in Physical Science and he loves the church. At this point in time, Tears was sold. She thought the more educated, the better, and the fact that he was dark and Tsonga completed the package. Viewers were convinced that she would go with this family over the other two.
No convincing vibes from the friends and they look young
The second family failed to represent Tshepo very well and didn’t make any effort in asking Tears any questions to uncover if she would be a perfect date for this bachelor. Tears was not impressed; she thought the place was scary and that they looked very young. Tears was taken aback when Thabang asked her if she had any friends as beautiful as she was, and she found this so childish.
Uncle messed it all up for Maisha
At the last stop for Tears, she was welcomed by Maisha’s uncles and a friend. She got a great welcome and the family tried to represent the bachelor very well, but made it look like a lobola negotiation by already talking about introducing her to the ancestors.
This shook our bachelorette and, at this point, she wasn’t sure if the guy would be her choice for a date. The uncle left no stones unturned, asking Tears, “Do you want a man or you want a plan?” This led to a conversation about whether she thinks it’s important to only date men with money.
Tears went straight for Mphamela with a PhD, who thinks the future is bright like his jacket. She wasn’t happy with her choice but at least Mphamela’s jokes made the date fun. But Tears said she would only go on a second date if they would meet at church. Maybe she is certain she might get someone there at church.
