As if we haven’t seen enough drama in the recent episodes of Pastor Wants a Wife! We thought this week we’d get a break, but then Pastor Lincoln and Apostle Aron visited the families of the remaining sister wives. Normally, an awakening is supposed to be enlightening. This, instead, was a rude awakening for both men of God.
Anelisa’s father says “No!”
Pastor Lincoln took things to the next level this week when he visited kuMthebele, Anelisa’s home in the Eastern Cape. From the get go, Anelisa was honest about the “red flags” that she had picked up and her family was very protective of their daughter from the moment Lincoln arrived.
Pastor Lincoln was understandably nervous at first, and the conversation didn’t take long to become tense.
When they started talking about how many kids he has, the family was sceptical about the fact that he had left the mother of his child. They also did not take too kindly to the fact that he wanted to marry Anelisa after only knowing her for two months. It was at this point that Anelisa’s father had to intervene and declare, in front of the whole country, that his daughter would not be marrying Pastor Lincoln. Anelisa’s family wasn’t standing for their potential marriage, and the Twitter streets were buzzing after this dramatic scene.

Apostle Aron senses tribal tension
Just in case you thought things would be less dramatic when Apostle Aron visited Kelebogile’s family, you were wrong. It was even more hectic when the man of God touched down in the North West for a meeting with his potential in-laws.
Apostle Aron was not sure what to expect when he arrived but things didn’t take long to grow awkward. When the pastor revealed his hometown (Phokeng in Rustenburg), it was clear that there would be an issue. The Bafokeng people and the Barolong people don’t quite see eye to eye and Kelebogile’s mother was quick to point that out.
The grilling didn’t end there. Apostle Aron was forced to speak about his former marriage and his existing issues, but when it came back to the tribal matter, Kelly’s mother admitted it would be a “miracle” for the two of them to get married.
The stakes are higher than ever and both pastors have found themselves in a potentially tricky position with the families, but we get the impression things are only getting started… next week it appears as if both pastors will be visiting the homes of the other remaining sister wives before we set up for a suspenseful finale. Will both men of God be married by the end of this season? Even that, in itself, is potentially doubtful!
